- You need 1 cup of Maize Flour or Cornmeal.
- You need 1/4 cup of Wheat Flour.
- Prepare 1/4 tsp of Carom Seeds or Ajwain.
- It's 1/4 tsp of Salt.
- It's as needed of Warm water.
Makki Rotis step by step
- Knead a smooth dough out of all the ingredients mentioned. Cover and keep aside for 15 minutes..
- Place a tawa on a low heat. Divide the dough into equal sized balls. Roll out discs in between plastic sheets so that they don't break while doing so. And after a minute or two of roasting on a tawa, do it by directly placing it on the flame..
- Roast them evenly on both the sides until crisp and done. Apply some Ghee after done just before serving. It's absolutely awesome in taste and texture..
