- Cook the peas in pressure cooker adding 4 to 5 cups of water for 5 to 6 whistles.
- For the Masala paste grind Cinnamon, chilli, chana Dal, cooriander seed, Ginger, garlic, fresh coriander, coconut, cumin along with 2 tbsp of cooked peas in a mixer and form a paste.
- To start with the gravy sautee the onion by adding 2 tsp oil, add chilli powder and once done add the ground masala paste.
- Once the oil starts to separate from the gravy add the cooked peas, sugar and salt. Adjust the consistency for the gravy. Cook for 15 mins.
- Assemble the dish by adding puri's, gravy, bit of onion, tomato, sev, tinch of chat masala and Aamchur powder.
- Finally garnish with fresh coriander and lemon juice.
