Ingredients of Basic Chicken Shawarma
- You need of Tortilla wraps.
- It's of Chicken.
- It's of Sausage.
- It's of Cabbage.
- Prepare of Carrots.
- You need of Green pepper.
- You need of Fresh tomatoes.
- You need of Onions.
- Prepare of Garlic.
- It's of Sauce.
- You need of Mayonnaise.
- It's of Ketchup.
- You need of Salad cream(optional).
- Prepare of Red chili sauce(optional).
Basic Chicken Shawarma step by step
- Cut your veggies i.e cabbage,carrots, green pepper, tomatoes, onions. And your sausage.
- Chop your chicken breasts or laps into strips, marinate with garlic, ginger, onion powder, pinch of cinnamon(optional), soy sauce seasoning cubes, oil and salt. The marinate is flexible according to your choice! Then let it sit for at least 30 mins.
- Make your shawarma sauce on the side. Using ketchup, mayonnaise. Then red chili sauce and salad cream is optional.
- Heat your pan and a little vegetable oil then add garlic and onions. Sauté it for a few seconds and take it out of the pan to get that soft and juicy onions. Add your chicken marinate to the pan and sauté it for 3-5 minutes on low flame, so that it can cook to the inside. Towards the end, add your diced sausage and let it cook together before taking it out to cool..
- Mix your veggies with the sauce, then divide your tortilla wraps..
- To start building the shawarma, spread the sauce generously on the tortilla wrap, then stack up your veggies, chicken and sausage, caremalized onions and top it with more sauce and lastly fold the wrap.
