Vegan Chilli (sin carne!). I found this recipe by googling "chili sin carne". I'm not sure when I first encountered it by that name. For many years now, one of our favorite staple meals has been vegan chili sin carne.
The recipe is low-fat and gluten-free. You can serve this delicious comfort meal with rice, potatoes, pasta or flatbread. You can always add more chili powder or sriracha after cooking! You can have Vegan Chilli (sin carne!) using 21 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you cook that.
Ingredients of Vegan Chilli (sin carne!)
- You need 400 g of The Meatless Farm's Meat Free Mince.
- You need 1 cup of chopped onion.
- It's 1.5 cups of sliced peppers.
- It's 1 tsp of garlic paste.
- Prepare 1 of heaped tsp ground coriander.
- Prepare 1 of heaped tsp cumin.
- Prepare 1 tsp of oregano.
- Prepare cube of Kallo veg stock.
- You need 2 tbsp of tomato paste.
- It's 390 g of chopped tomatoes (I use cartons over cans).
- You need 1 can of red kidney beans (drained and rinsed).
- You need 1 can of black eye beans (drained and rinsed).
- You need 1/2 tsp of chipotle paste.
- It's of Salt and pepper.
- It's of Extras - to serve.
- You need of Tortilla wraps.
- Prepare of Nachos.
- It's of Guacamole.
- You need of Veganaise.
- It's of Jalapenos.
- You need of Rice.
You can't go wrong with a big pot of chili. Chili sin Carne mit Rotwein, Schokolade und Espresso. Dieses Chili schmeckt authentisch, kommt dabei aber komplett ohne Fleisch aus. This chili sin carne is one of the first recipes, I've ever made vegan.
Vegan Chilli (sin carne!) step by step
- Fry your meat free mince according to packet and set aside.
- Fry onions, peppers and garlic until liquid is released and evaporated.
- Add coriander, cumin and oregano to the pan, crumble in stock cube, and cook for a minute.
- Add mince back to pan and stir until it is all incorporated.
- Add tomatoes and tomato paste to the meat and veg mixture, then add cold water to the empty carton (I used around half a carton) to get all the tomato-y goodness out!.
- Bring back to a simmer before adding the beans and the chipotle paste.
- Bring back to a simmer and add salt and pepper to taste.
- Simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Serve with your favourite accompaniments! We made wraps out of ours with veganaise, my easy guacamole, shredded violife cheese and crumbled nachos.
Anyway, it's one of my favorites and I serve it over and over again. You can really get creative regarding the spices, kind of beans, and vegetables for this vegan chili. So feel free to taste and adjust the seasonings and further ingredients. Our meatless, vegan chilli con carne is the only proof you need that vegan food can go toe to toe with meat dishes - and win. Definitely in part thanks to meals like this meatless chili which is both vegetarian and vegan friendly.
